DIMAICHA Handwoven Nettle (Allo) Tote Bag

Description

This Nettle (Allo) tote bag is ethically handmade in Nepal using Nepali handwoven Allo Cotton fabric. “Allo” in other words Nettle fibers come from the nettle plant steam and the fiber extraction process is done by hand in villages in Nepal. Nettle fibers are eco-friendly, and sustainable because they are less resource-intensive to process and 100% biodegradable. Nettle is blended with Nepali cotton fiber to add softness as Nettle fiber alone is strong and a bit stiffer. Like linen, the fabrics become softer with every wash. Buying this product supports and helps to empower home-based Nepalese women in Bhaktapur who are behind hand-weaving the fabric and sewing this tote bag.
